The following notes provide an overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally.
We collect your data firstly because you provide it to us — for example via our contact form. Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the site (technical data such as browser, operating system and time of access).

The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of processing personal data.
When you send us an enquiry via the contact form, we collect the following data:
We process this data solely to handle your enquiry and for any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry is aimed at entering into a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). The data remains with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent, or the purpose ceases to apply; mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
To prevent automated bulk submissions, when you submit the form we check a field invisible to you as well as the time between page load and submission, and we limit the number of enquiries per IP address. No external verification service is used.
The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically error-free and secure operation of the website).
We use the following service providers to operate this website and process your enquiries, with data processing agreements in place pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR:
For providers based in the USA, the transfer takes place on the basis of the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses pursuant to Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR.
No third-party integrations. The fonts and display functions of this website are hosted entirely on our own server in Germany. No data is transmitted to Google, to content delivery networks or to any other third party — not even your IP address.
Should we integrate external media in future (such as an embedded map), these will only be loaded after your express consent. You make that choice in the privacy settings; you can change it at any time via the “Privatsphäre” link in the page footer.
WhatsApp, phone, email and map: the references in the quick-contact bar are plain links. Data is only transmitted to WhatsApp Ireland Limited or Google once you click such a link.
This website sets no cookies. We use no analytics tools, no tracking, no advertising networks, and we do not create usage profiles.
In your browser’s local storage we place only your choice from the privacy settings. This storage is technically necessary within the meaning of § 25 (2) TDDDG — without it you would have to decide again on every single page. You can delete the entry at any time via your browser settings.
You have the right at any time to information about your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, a message to info@balter-building.de is sufficient.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf.
For security reasons this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser address bar changing from “http://” to “https://”.
